„Los Angeles based songwriter, Casey Golden, returns to Europe to share a collection of raw Bossa Nova and 1960s folk inspired acoustic incantations yet to be released - this time stripped back to his solo roots.
Since releasing his debut self titled album, Casey had seen his solo project expand into a full band, collaborating with members of such indie rock pioneering groups as Calexico, and Howe Gelb. Golden’s second self titled album “II” - recorded in Cologne on a day off of his 2018 tour opening for Twain - can be cited as showcasing his most personal work to date. It features textures reminiscent of Alice Coltrane, tender Tropicália-inspired flourishes, and big emotional language that could only be taught by such pop masterminds as Burt Bacharach and Margo Guryan. Now we see Golden embarking on a new chapter in his writing journey. Post pandemic, there is a new person and a new creative spark. One that he brings along to share at each performance under the English moonlight“
